Hundreds Run the Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway!

Brooklyn Greenway Initiative’s event on October 19, 2014, “Brooklyn Greenway ½ and 5K” was a great success with a large turnout! Thanks to everyone who attended, and a big thank you toBrooklyn Greenway Initiative and their partner South Brooklyn Running Club. The event is the only half marathon and 5K exclusively on the Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway.

The Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway is a landscaped route for pedestrians, runners, and cyclists, connecting Brooklyn’s waterfront from Greenpoint to Bay Ridge along the historic East River. It leads to destinations such as Brooklyn Bridge Park, East River State Park, Brooklyn Navy Yard, and Red Hook. A map, courtesy of Brooklyn Greenway Initiative, can be found here.
